SPECIES INFO

The Western Spindalis (Spindalis zena), or Stripe-headed Tanager is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is found in Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos Islands, the United States, and possibly Jamaica. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and heavily degraded former forest.
