I would add that it might be possible to read Lehman's account as saying flocks like the ones being reported are unusual at this season. And I"m glad people are making reports like this, if they think they could be of interest. It's better to get info out there rather than hold onto it when it could be important. But, I will point out that, while he does cite some occurrences individually, the ones Paul cites are extreme totals for the dates he gives: 400 in Goleta 16 May 2007 209 at Barka Slough 17 May 2015 33 on UCSB campus 1 June 2002 31 in Buellton through 1 June 2012 Maybe only one of the reports of my own that I referred to in my previous post fits this category.
