- Comments: "Observed this obvious hybrid sapsucker deep within a deciduous tree. It shows Red-naped Sapsucker facial pattern and a red throat but it had extensive red color bleeding down onto the breast where the black breast band would be on a pure Red-naped. It also had a larger area of red on top of the head and down to the nape. This hybrid combination is my best guess."

- Comments: "Male, probably the bird from the Tech Park. First seen in the creek south of the bridge. Later in the pines just west of the playground. Present for more than hour, until I left at 9:45. Mostly black, with white head, red patch across name, white wing patch. Gave double note call that sounds like an abbreviated version of a Hairy Woodpecker."

- Comments: "Continuing in trees in the small lot northeast of the eucalyptus grove. This individual had more white below than a lot of Tennessees at this time of year, with obvious white on the under tail coverts and white extending up to the belly. Otherwise, my brief look at it showed a bird similar to an Orange-crowned Warbler, with a yellow breast and face, a dark line through the eye, greenish above (to the extent I could see the upper parts), and no wing bars."

- Comments: "Didn't even get off the pier from the boat and had this warbler in view along with a pack of Townsend's and Yellow Rumped on the shoreline rocks on the west side of the pier. Downward Black-Phoebe-esque tail flicks made it very obvious. Saw another in the far south of the campground."

- Comments: "Continuing. I first heard it calling in a hedge north of the eucalyptus grove, where I spotted it moving around within the vegetation. Later, it appeared on the ground near the back fence line, where it fed in the open for a time, providing excellent views. The bird was black above and on the upper breast and sides, and it had a bright red patch on the lower breast and belly. It had a large, bright white patch on the greater coverts and a white arc below the eye."
