- Comments: "Continuing bird found yesterday by Wes Fritz and Florence Sanchez. Every hour or so we'd hear a Longspur rattle as birds came in to the field near us, and the final time we were able to locate the longspur at 34.672904,-120.553667 and not shy at all. The coloration in particular was different enough from the Horned Larks to make the bird stand out somewhat."

- Comments: "originally ID'd as black-headed grosbeak (it was also accompanied by a BHGR). Later sighting (seen associating with same BHGR. ID'd as rose-breasted due to pink-red feathers coming in on chest with assistance from other birders incl. John Callender and Steve Colwell."
