    MM: Unfortunately did not realize at the time! Took photos of a flock of Scoters Steve had spotted flying towards the boat. 9 scoters in all, figured all were Surf. Adult male bird with yellow bill. Photos"

    - Comments: "In upper campground eucalyptus right above the bathrooms. (I did not refind this bird the following morning).
    I first detected this bird due to its incessant calling. A rising sharp whip! of which I am very familiar with having grown up in the east. I quickly realized it was likely a Least Flycatcher, so I rushed over to locate it. Eventually I spotted a small compact and gray-toned empid flicking its tail (a common behavior for Least Flycatchers- note they flick the opposite direction of Gray). I was able to observe this bird for several minutes as the sun went down- Large-headed, short primary projection, and pronounced eyering. Will upload photos."
