- Comments: "The bird was foraging along the edge of the beach at the parking lot (where it was first found this morning by Hugh Ranson). It was a juvenile with a scaly pattern on the upperparts, black legs, and a short, straight, blunt-tipped bill. (One of the photos shows a subtle expansion near the tip of the bill visible from above.) This bird was aggressive with other sandpipers that got too close while it was foraging."
