- Comments: "I've never seen these two bird species together and so photographically available. Common Merganser is on the left, then left, then right in the 3 photos. The Common is the larger bird with the well-delineated white chin, richer auburn-colored head. These photos support the idea that the distinguishing features put forth in field guides are not perfectly clear cut."

- Comments: "Small warbler with no undertail spots. Very bland looking bird throughout. Face showed only white eyering with diffuse white area around eyering on a slightly darker face. Bill thin and pointed. My look was brief and in that time I saw no color whatsoever on the bird."
