Today it was seen while we were standing here (34.4214129, -119.8713283). The bird was initally foraging on the ground 15 feet in front of us (looking south), but then it flew and landed on the tall green fence 10 feet behind us. It bobbed its tail almost non-stop while foraging on the ground. It was dull brown above with a brown cap, long pale eyebrow, and dark eyeline. The underparts were light with fine steaks on the breast and flanks, pale yellow belly, and bright yellow undertail coverts."
