Hi, At the eastern edge of the ponds where the Stilt Sandpiper is there were multiple Great Blue Herons and a confusing bird that had all of the appropriate plumage characteristics and bill pattern of a juvenile Reddish Egret but appeared to be too large to be that species, as if it was some kind of strange Great Blue Heron. I spent a lot of time studying this bird (all of them were a good one or two hundred yards away from me) but was not able to figure it out.
