Regarding the owls, there have been multiple searches in the Mt. Wilson area this weekend that have produced only western screech and great horned. Access to many higher locations is really limited due to the closure of the Angeles Crest Highway between Mt. Wilson Road and Big Pines.
We usually get Chukar and Gambel's Quail from San Clemente Island. Is anyone out there this weekend
Regarding Red Crossbill, there have been regular reports of these at Apollo Park and Pearblossom Park recently. Is anyone able to swing by to check
There were numerous Hooded Mergansers around within the last week. Has anybody seen one this weekend
Thank you,
Lance
