Hi all,
Mary and Nick Freeman and I observed aLittleStint early Sunday evening , April 2, at the San JacintoWildlife area. The location is themudflats and reed islands in the area of the G2 blind marker. It was with a flighty group of Least Sandpipers and would land briefly along the "shoreline" and was last observed with LESA on a small reed island when we left. Also, the Wood Sandpiper was last observed from the elevated berm on the western edge of Pond 1. The WOSA is still loosely associated with Long-billed Dowitchers, and seems to be foraging deeper into the wetlands that are due west of Pond 1, so walking that berm of Pond 1 may prove helpful. Both of these birds are showing Spring plumage changes in good light. ebird link: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://ebird.org/checklist/S132563218__;!!OM2WEIN1DMg!EvMdSWT1x_Q-7ZYH3ys16Sr1bRsEzTq-MtppDGwv3i9YvSdR0VrML5NbU54cyzXrCe8r5rwuupEksiaGikZwwvonDgqzBv0$
