The Yellow-bellied Seedeater (Sporophila nigricollis) is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Grenada, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. It has occurred as a vagrant in Saint Vincent. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, pastureland, and heavily degraded former forest.
