SPECIES INFO

The Greater Antillean Pewee (Contopus caribaeus) is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. It is found in Bahamas, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Turks and Caicos Islands. The form found in Cuba and the northern Bahamas is also known as the Crescent-eyed Pewee or (the nominate subspecies) Cuban Pewee.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and heavily degraded former forest.
