The Jungle Owlet or Barred Jungle Owlet, Glaucidium radiatum, is found in India. The species is often found solitary or in pairs and they are very vociferous at dawn and dusk. They are found in scrub and deciduous forests. The bird lack ear-tufts. Diet consists of insects, small birds and reptiles, and rodents.
